Visual BASIC Express Edition
Visual BASIC Express Edition (VBE) is a free version of Microsoft's Visual BASIC. VBE is a easy way to create executable files (.exe) for Windows. We recommend learning QBASIC first, because it is simpler and very similar to VBE.
Downloading Instructions
To download VBE, go to www.microsoft.com. From that page, click on the "Download" link under the heading "Visual BASIC Express".
Tutorial
A great tutorial made just for kids is available at KidwareSoftware.com. The man who makes these tutorials has also made tutorials for Visual C#, Visual J# and Java. His tutorials do cost a small amount, but they are well worth it.
